To get enlightened you need your body to be in a certain state. We have to give a little to get some thing good.
Start with Meditation 5- 15 minutes a day. Slowly you can increase your time.
If you feed someone or any living beings how is in hungry or donate to end hunger will help you achieve your enlightenment goal.
I know we all love our Bacon, Steak & Fried Chicken but if you can slowly adapt to a Vegetarian diet & fast once a month will help your body in a more positive state.
Make love to your partner once every 16 days, Stop smoking, Chewing tobacco, Drugs & replace the Alcohol with Green tea or Non-alcoholic beer or cider will help you to realize the full potential in this stage 2.
You may ask me what the heck is left in life if you do all the above. You just need to try & find it for yourself if you don’t like it you can always go back to your old habits.
