- You follow all corporate policies and procedures provided by head office
- After a few years of hard work, you start making good money and have with the ability to take time off for vacations
- Your entire family will be working alongside you
Disadvantages:
- Each time your phone rings, you worry about the problem you may have to deal with
- When employees call in sick, you need to rearrange work schedules to provide adequate coverage
- When corporate head office changes certain policies, more money needs to be spent on new advertising materials and inventory updates
- You get advised that in order to make a good income, you will need to purchase additional franchises
- To afford a new franchise, you consider remortgaging your home
- You notice that your employees, contractors and corporate head office are making money than you without as much personal dedication
- You sometimes wonder whether it would be better to be in the red square
